San Miguel De Allende seems to be famous for its weather (eternal spring) and its artisans, but I love it for the shade filled plaza where people watching has been refind to an art. The low-rise buildings and big cathedrals surrounding Le Jardin all contribute an air of peacefulness. Even the beggers are pleasant! Our house is a gem and Maria (the housekeeper) a treasure. Here the Sungod and the Birder have found a corner of paridise; its many nooks and crannies to be explored over the next week. --N.
