Starting to feel normal--Now in our 4th day in San Miguel de Allende I think I am slowing becoming acclimitized, going from exhausted Wednesday to some energy this morning.
After very busy weekends for both of us before leaving:
-the 4:00am trip to Airport Tuesday morning.
-the 2 hour time change.
-the 3 and 1 hour bus rides from Mexico City.
-the elevation of 1,972 meters (per my GPS--it also says we are 4,440kms from site#5 in Keji)
-the 85*F temperature(have I mentioned that before?)
-the dog next door singing to the moon, to be replaced at 6:00am by the rooster next door, singing to the sun.
-and finally this morning, around 5:00am, it seemed 1/2 the town set off fireworks for the next 2 hours??????
Still basically exploring all the areas we can possibly get lost in and then re-find ourselves.
Yesterdays pic is a little restaurant (lunch) recommended by Gordon Young while todays pic is, as he called it, the Blue Door bakery--lots of goodies.
I took an early morning hike out to the 'main' bus terminal (1 1/2 hour returno), checking out routes, schedules, etc. for next week when we will begin some day/overnight trips to Morilia, Guanajuarto, etc..
For the weekend we are going continue to lie low, checking out festivals, concerts, and just people watch in the various plazzas.
Adios
B
